Our History...

In November, 1960, the Reverend Leslie B. Jenkins, Rector of All Saints Church, London, Ontario, Canada, was chosen to be our first Vicar. In 1966, he was unanimously elected as our first Rector. On March 4, 1962, we moved into our present building. In November, 1963, the Sunday School building was constructed. In the summer of 1973, these separate buildings were connected with the addition of Barus Hall. In doing so, we were able to increase our church seating by 100 and added a new and attractive church entrance.

In 1970, with the division of the Old Diocese of South Florida, we became a part of the new Diocese of Southeast Florida.

On Sunday, March 7, 1982, a large and joyful congregation gathered in Barus Hall after the morning service to "Burn the Mortgage." That event made it possible for us to have our own church consecrated on May 24, 1982.

Due to structural problems discovered in the late 90's our sanctuary was deconsecrated in January 2006, and later demolished in June 2006.  At present time we have a vibrant community that worships together each Sunday morning in Barus Hall.
